Overall Score: +26
-Summary-
This game is really good. Yes, the first half of the game is somewhat more relaxed and almost sim-like, but it builds up the intriguing and epic second half, a second half that shows just how good video game stories can get. This is the best Trails game I’ve reviewed, and although my personal favorite remains Trails in the Sky the 3rd, Trails from Zero is a JRPG classic through and through. You owe it to yourself to play this game if you’re a fan of RPGs.

Lufia 2 ~ In-Depth Review
Overall Score: +12
-Summary-
Lufia 2 is a quintessential 90s JRPG. It does what the golden era JRPGs do and does them pretty well. It even has some surprising twists like a 99-floor roguelike optional dungeon or the skill ring that resets dungeon puzzles. I’d say the motto I have finishing up Lufia 2 is, “I came for the JRPG, I stayed for the excellent puzzles.” Though, that doesn’t paint the full picture. Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated ~ In-Depth Review
Overall Score: +4
-Summary-
All in all, rather than being dated and rotted, this pineapple under the sea still has flavor and color to it. It’s not a particularly complex or intricate pineapple, but it’s of good quality and delights. My score of +4 may not seem like too much, but it’s because the game was incredibly consistent in its experience. It’s like a fun smooth ride without too many bumps or exciting hills.

Trails in the Sky 2 ~ In-Depth Review
Overall Score: +19
-Summary-
All in all, this is a great sequel to the beginnings of a saga that continues on to this day. While Sky 2 brings along a lot of the less appealing aspects that Sky 1 had like repeated dialogue and clumsy exposition, it also not only brings, but enhances all the things Sky 1 did so well, like character, story, and combat.
Secret of Evermore ~ In-Depth Review
Overall Score: -3
–Summary–
Despite the glitchy and cumbersome gameplay, this western Squaresoft RPG has some cool story beats with fun humor and scenes. The sprite art and ambient music help add to the fun, yet haunting tone of the game.

Code Vein ~ In-Depth Review
Overall Score: +9
-Summary-
If you crave a traditionally told story in the shell of a Souls game, this is going to satisfy you very much. The storytelling is great throughout, barring the ending, and the minute to minute gameplay, especially in the great level design, is wonderfully done.

The Outer Worlds ~ In-Depth Review
Overall Score: +7
-Summary-
The Outer Worlds is more Mass Effect and Kotor than it is Fallout… This sci-fi role-playing experience has Deus Ex levels of variability in its quest design… The plot itself (centering on the evils of capitalism) isn’t really profound or ‘deep’, yet still has some interesting twists and charm to it that it kept me entertained throughout.

Trails in the Sky 1 ~ In-Depth Review
Overall Score: +16
-Summary-
… The plot is lengthy, though without having the hallmarks of bloat and padding many long stories have in games and anime media. . The gameplay also differentiates itself from others of its ilk by combining traditional turn based combat with tile-based strategy elements. the worldbuilding is some of the best I’ve seen in any JRPG …
